CAF is among more than a dozen museums, schools and architecture organizations nationwide invited to host “The Landscape Architecture Legacy of Dan Kiley.”

This traveling photographic exhibition features 45 vibrant photographs that chronicle the current state of 27 Kiley projects.

"The legacy of Dan Kiley is that his work demonstrates how place informs life and how in turn life gives meaning and value to place. That he has done with art, grace and good humor to the lasting benefit of all."

—Peter Ker Walker, 2013

Over his career, Kiley completed more than 1,000 projects worldwide, making him one of the most influential Modernist landscape architects of the 20th century. Developed under the direction of The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF), this exhibit features images of some of Kiley’s most famous public work, like the South Garden at the Art Institute of Chicago and the National Gallery of Art’s pedestrian plaza in Washington DC. There are also photos of numerous private residences he worked on over his career. The exhibit will be on display in CAF’s Lecture Hall Gallery until September.

Through its website, lectures, outreach and publishing, TCLF broadens the support and understanding for cultural landscapes nationwide to help safeguard our priceless heritage for future generations. For more information on the foundation’s work on this project, visit tclf.org.
