The Conservation Plan is the first comprehensive blueprint for the growth and maintenance of the nation's oldest and largest forest preserve district since the preserves were conceived in Daniel Burnham’s 1909 Plan of Chicago. It is proposing ways to make the preserves more inviting and accessible to thousands of Chicago area residents. Learn about the strategies and obstacles to meeting these ambitious goals.
