CAF Taliesin Scholars are a select group of teen designers who are offered the opportunity to study at Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright's school of architecture and his residence in Spring Green, Wisconsin. The week long studio experience is for talented students from Chicago Public Schools who participate in the annual CAF Newhouse Architecture and Design Competition. To be eligible, students must complete a competition design project, submit a formal application to CAF, and must receive a recommendation from their teachers. Students who participate in other CAF Teen programs throughout the year are also given additional consideration.

The CAF Taliesin Scholars program provides students with an incredible opportunity to nurture their passion for architecture in a truly unique learning environment. While at Taliesin, students spend the week studying alongside other Taliesin undergraduate and graduate students in the Hillside Studio and interact with Taliesin fellows in residence. CAF Teens also participate in daily activities that support the operation of the campus with all other residents. As noted by one of the Fellows, although their stay is brief by being there as a CAF Taliesin Scholar they will always be a part of the school and play a part in the “story of Taliesin.”
