Field Trips and Tours

Searching for field trips that are fun, engaging, and directly support content learning standards? The Chicago Architecture Foundation offers an exciting array of field trips for students of all ages. At the Chicago Architecture Foundation, downtown Chicago becomes more than just a place to pass through. It becomes a learning laboratory where students explore the city’s amazing architecture and discover how the built environment impacts them each day.

I liked learning about different structures.  I like the cantilevers job. I like Corinthian columns because
they look fancy. This was the best field trip ever.  I loved every single part of this field trip. I will
remember every structure and its job. I will try to find them everywhere.
  – 3rd grade student, Chicago

It is an amazing accomplishment when junior and seniors in high school tell us it was one of the best
experiences they have ever had!  My goal was accomplished. I wanted my students to understand how
important it is to know their ‘hometown’ and all that it offers…
