Chicago’s Tunnel and Reservoir Plan was adopted for implementation in 1972. More than 40 years and $3 billion later, the benefits provided by this project and the need to complete it are more important than ever. Supervising Civil Engineer, Kevin Fitzpatrick, who oversees engineering for all of the District’s collection facilities projects, will discuss the purpose of the Deep Tunnel and Reservoir Plan project, its performance to date, and the remaining features under construction.
