LunchTalks@CAF: Terminal Town: Celebrating 75 Years of Travel to the Windy City

Dr. Joseph P Schwieterman - Director, Chaddick Institute for Metropolitan Development (DePaul University)

Chicago's system of passenger air, bus, and train terminals has long been a defining feature of its cosmopolitan character. This program will reflect on the role and design of this region's many terminals- both the successes and failures over the past 75 years- and look ahead to the ambitious plans in place for the future. Professor Schwieterman will share insights on this topic and sign copies of his new book, Terminal Town: An Illustrated Guide to Chicago's Airports, Bus Depots, Train Stations, and Steamship Landings: 1939-Present.
