Join Free Street Theater Artistic Director Coya Paz and Director of Education Katrina Dion as they lead CAC docent Kathleen Hanley through the Pulaski Park Fieldhouse, where Free Street is headquartered through the Chicago Park District's Arts Partners in Residence program.

PROGRAM SPEAKER: KATHLEEN HANLEY

Kathleen Hanley, CAC docent class of 2015, is a retired strategic account management, planning and marketing executive, with experience at not-for-profit hospitals and high-tech healthcare corporations. Raised in Cleveland, Hanley has been a resident of Chicago since 1986. She has three children and seven grandchildren and enjoys fitness, travel, reading, cooking and volunteering.

Coya Paz

Coya Paz is the Artistic Director of Free Street Theater and an Associate Professor in the Theatre School at DePaul University, where she also serves as an Associate Dean. She is the co-author, with Chloe Johnston, of “Ensemble-Made Chicago: A Guide to Devised Theater.” Above all, she believes in the power of poetry and performance to build community towards social justice. Katrina Dion

Katrina Dion is a director, teaching artist and dancer who serves as Free Street Theater's Director of Education, where she runs the Pulaski Park Youth Ensemble. While at Free Street, she has directed many projects, including WASTED, Parched: Stories about Water, Pollution & Theft, REST (with Tricia Hersey) and The Americans. Outside of Free Street, Katrina has directing and assistant directing credits with The Goodman Theatre, Chicago Fringe Festival, Prop Thtr, Red Tape Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre and American Theater Company. She holds a BFA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in directing from the Theatre School at DePaul University. You can learn more about her work at katrinadion.com.
