Sketch Like an Architect
Learn the basics from architectural drawing expert Joel Berman! This daylong workshop provides an introduction to architectural free-hand sketching that's appropriate for seasoned artists as well as those with little experience. Supplies are provided and no prior architectural training is necessary—just bring your interest and enthusiasm! (Registration fee covers supplies as well as lunch.)
Joel Berman has extensive experience as a teacher of architectural sketching at Columbia College Chicago, the Chicago Architecture Foundation, Urban Sketchers Chicago and the Ontario Association of Architects. Joel emphasizes the use of clear and fast sketching as part of the design process. He's the founder and president of Joel Berman Architecture & Design, Ltd., a Chicago architecture firm specializing in adaptive reuse and heritage restoration for restaurant, hospitality, institutional and residential development.
