Marquette Building |

|
|
The Marquette Building, completed in 1895, is a Chicago landmark considered to be of timeless styling and faultless architecture. Its exterior defines the “Chicago School” style and is a model of functional design. The two story rotunda lobby reveals panels of lustered Tiffany glass, mother-of-pearl, and semi-precious stones that depict scenes of the early history of Illinois. That history relates to the man after whom the building is named. |
