Eva Maddox has led an extraordinarily influential career in the world of commercial interior design. Her innovations in the field are felt far and wide, but especially in Chicago, where she has lived and worked since 1970. Considered a pioneer in “branded environments,” you can see Eva’s local imprint at the Chicago Botanic Garden Education Center, the Oak Park Library, the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and in numerous storefronts, university buildings and corporate offices. Hear Eva present highlights from her varied and exciting career.

Eva Maddox

Eva Maddox is the consulting principal of Eva Maddox Design Strategies and a recently retired Perkins+Will design principal. In 1975, Eva founded her own interior design firm, Eva Maddox Associates, which merged with Perkins+Will in 2002. Eva is also the co-founder of Archeworks, a multidisciplinary design school that opened in Chicago in 1994. Her designs have won her dozens of awards and she has been invited to lecture at architecture and design schools around the world. Eva is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and the recipient of honorary doctorate degrees from her alma mater and Kendall College of Art and Design.
