CAF's walking tour for the visually impaired or blind and their companions is offered from May through October. The tour, led by a team of CAF docents, takes place in the Loop and includes six buildings of varying styles from the 1890s to the 1970s. Custom-made 3D-printed models of the six buildings, along with many opportunities to experience textures, materials and shapes, help explain the unique features of each building.
This tour can be scheduled for private departures, from May through October, during any day of the week between 10am and 3pm for small groups of up to 12 people. Service animals are welcome. To arrange dates and departure times and to inquire about group pricing, contact our Group Sales department at 312.322.1130 or firstname.lastname@example.org at least two week in advance.
The Chicago Architecture Foundation was proud to partner with The Chicago Lighthouse and ADA25 (25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act) in developing this tour. For more information, visit www.chicagolighthouse.org and www.ada25chicago.org.
