This 90-minute walking tour explores the architecture and history of an area that has undergone dramatic transformations. The streets of the South Loop showcase architecture ranging from Romanesque to contemporary, designed by famous and little-known architects; the buildings reveal stories of colorful politicians, such as "Hinky Dink" Kenna and "Bathhouse" John Coughlin, reformers such as Rev. William Stead and Mary Wilmarth, and the events and institutions that have formed, and transformed, the South Loop.
