Originally developed and named for Sears Roebuck and Co., the Willis Tower was the world's tallest building for almost 25 years. Learn how the architects met the challenges of designing a super-tall building, and the efforts being made to retrofit the building to meet today's energy efficiency standards. Together these two buildings illustrate the major design and structural characteristics of twentieth century architecture.
