Current Projects: Prefab Design on the Rise
Construction contractor Skender has joined a new prefab movement with the opening of an apartment module factory in South Lawndale. Learn how entire apartment modules are built off-site and later pieced together.
Tim Swanson, Chief Design Officer at Skender, will detail the exciting work underway to transform modular, prefab construction in Chicago. He will outline why prefab is on the rise and share his company’s plans for a six-story, 110-unit apartment building in West Loop. Discover the scalable potential of this design and fabrication process in an era of escalating material and construction costs.
