Donor Travel Program: Mexico City
On this seven-day journey through Mexico City, you’ll marvel at the pyramids of Teotihuacan and explore the new architecture of the city. The trip includes a journey to the Palacio des Bellas Artes to admire the Tiffany stage curtain and take in a folk performance; an entire day spent with the Legoretta architecture firm, viewing their work of the past, present, and future; and a visit to the homes and studios of architect Luis Barragan and artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.
The Chicago Architecture Foundation’s Donor Travel Program is a one-of-a-kind educational experience that brings visitors to some of the most artistically and architecturally fascinating and thought-provoking sites in the world. CAF’s donor trips focus on the architecture and design of a region, allowing travelers to get an in-depth architectural overview of historic sites and talk to contemporary architects about contemporary projects. This year, CAF travels to Mexico City for a journey that includes visits to natural monuments, museums, cultural centers, architects’ homes and studios and much more.
