This illustrated talk features fascinating deleted scenes from the CAC River Cruise Aboard Chicago’s First Lady. Find out why some riverside residents will never lose their view. Become haunted by the concrete and glass symbol of an architect’s life story. Discover how the color of our river connects politicians, plumbers, songwriters and TV personalities. Presenter: Susan Frost
Susan has been giving architecture tours in the Chicago area for 25 years and has been a CAC docent since 2015. She has a BA in Art History and an abiding love of historic preservation and the history of Chicago. The question from guests that she can never answer is “what is your favorite building?”
Presenter: Siobhan Hartsell
Siobhan is a native Chicagoan who became a docent in 2015 because of her love for Chicago’s history and architecture. She said every time she goes away and comes home, the Chicago skyline still takes her breath away. Besides tours on the river, she does the Tiffany in Chicago tour and is tour director for Food and Architecture of 1893.
