Program

August 3–7, 9am–3pm (5-day camp). Recommended for ages 10–14. In Minecraft: Builders Unite! campers will use Minecraft to explore why design matters. We all have stories to tell—and so do buildings. Minecraft Camp turns campers into digital storytellers. In addition to developing skills in the Minecraft virtual world, students will take walking tours of downtown and explore buildings first-hand.
Campers pursue answers to questions such as: "How was that designed?", "What was the architect thinking?" and "What stories can this building tell us?" Participants will work with a team to solve a unique design problem. Campers will move between the physical and digital worlds build with Minecraft and LEGO®. CAF will provide MinecraftEdu server and laptops. No experience needed!
CAF Summer Camps invite campers ages 7-18 to explore the built environment as they learn first-hand why design matters. Camps inspire teamwork and creative problem-solving, build self-confidence and visual thinking and give participants the opportunity to communicate ideas using a variety of media.
