This is our most comprehensive tour! We cover approximately 30 miles of Chicago design, passing through the Loop and the Gold Coast, as well as Hyde Park and other areas of the South Side. We’ll see two university campuses, several parks and residential neighborhoods and admire the lakefront. Stops—some with interior building tours—are made in the Loop, on the Museum Campus and at Mies van der Rohe's IIT campus and Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House. The Robie House interior tour is provided by the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust.

  • Frank Lloyd Wright properties have stairs and are not completely ADA accessible. Visit the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust’s accessibility page for more information.
  • For guests unable to use stairs, please notify us at least two weeks in advance (when possible) by calling 312.922.3432 to ensure an accessible bus is available.
  • Mobility aids (walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) can be stored on the bus.
  • Ticket price includes entrance to the Chicago Architecture Center within 7 days of your tour. View the CAC's hours.
  • Access to building interiors featured on this tour may be subject to change, due to weekend and holiday schedules or unforeseen closures.
