Our 13th annual Emerging Chicago bus tour offers the opportunity to visit exciting new projects designed by Gensler, the world’s largest architecture firm. Join us as we celebrate the firm’s 20 years of influence in Chicago.
The tour starts at Gensler's Chicago office, located in the Sullivan Center at 11 E. Madison. We'll have a unique opportunity to meet with architects and designers and learn about their design process and inspirations for several stunning new projects. The tour will continue to Fulton West, a previously abandoned development in Fulton Market that is now a unique workplace for high-tech tenants and headquarters for Sterling Bay, one of Chicago's largest developers. We'll also tour the state-of-the-art training facility at the Plumbers Local 130 UA Training Center and visit The Post Office, a historic, 2.8 million square foot building that is being reimagined as a hub for business and commerce.
- Closed toed shoes are required for entrance into the Post Office beyond the lobby.
- Since the Post Office is an active construction site, this part of the tour is not wheelchair accessible.
- Ticket price includes admission to the Chicago Architecture Center within 7 days of your tour.
