William Le Baron Jenney not only created the first metal-frame skyscraper, he also influenced a whole generation of 19th Century architects. Daniel Burnham, Louis Sullivan, William Mundie, William Holabird and Martin Roche all worked for Jenney in the 1870s and 1880s. View buildings designed by Jenney himself as well as the work of former employees who advanced upon his skeletal structure. This walking tour has many buildings not included in other CAC walking tours and an optional walk to the first metal frame building to be clad in terra cotta.
