You might drive or bike past them often, but have you ever really explored Chicago’s beautiful parks? This year’s Parks by Bus tour will take you to fascinating parks and fieldhouses, with time to stop and smell the flowers!
The parks you’ll visit on this third annual Parks by Bus tour were developed in the 1920s, before the Chicago Park District was formed in 1934. Little-known architect Clarence Hatzfeld designed 14 fieldhouses for parks on the North Side, including four you’ll see on this tour.
