Lisa Pickell
Board of Trustees, President of Docent Council
Lisa is President of Orren Pickell Building Group, a Chicago-based design-build firm specializing in custom homes and residential remodeling.
At the Chicago Architecture Center, she serves on the Board of Trustees and is President of the Docent Council. In this role, she helps lead and support one of CAC’s most impactful volunteer communities, advancing docent engagement, training, and collaboration across the organization. Her CAC service has included roles on the Engagement Committee, Election Committee, and All-Docent Day Committee. She is a certified CAC River Cruise docent and a coach and certifier for new docents.
Lisa has been recognized for her leadership in the construction and design industry, including honors from Crain’s Chicago Business, Modern Luxury: CS, Constructech, and the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago.
She is an active civic and industry leader, a member of Vistage Worldwide, and a volunteer diver with the Shedd Aquarium’s marine mammal program. She holds a degree in marketing, with a minor in art and architectural history, from Miami University (Oxford, OH), and is committed to advancing CAC’s mission to inspire discovery and deepen public engagement with architecture and design.
