Modernism: Reviving the Loop

Formerly known as "Mid-Century Modern Skyscrapers," this tour delves into Chicago’s Mid-Century Modern architecture and its influential architects, showcasing the city’s innovative skyscraper technology and design. After WWII, Chicago needed to reimagine itself as a Modern City. Enter famed architect Mies van der Rohe supported by long time Mayor Richard J. Daley. Together, they and their followers would rebuild Chicago into a thriving iconic city.
