CAC's family tour, Chicago's Amazing Fair of 1893, is designed for those with elementary-aged children. It tells the stories of the World's Fair of 1893 in such a way that all family members are sure to enjoy.
Beginning with a slideshow with important background information of how and why the fair came to be, the tour then continues with a bus trip to Jackson Park to see the actual fair site. Highlights of the tour include Kent House on S. Michigan Ave., the Museum of Science and Industry and Wooded Island. At the end of this two hour and 15 minute program, participants will be given a goody bag with more information and some treats.
CAC members: Please note that this tour does not qualify for the “Buy-one-ticket-get-one-FREE” bus tour benefit.
