On this tour, guests will step inside three distinct destinations to discover how architecture influences the way music is recorded, performed and experienced. Visit the intimate recording rooms of Willie Dixon’s Blues Heaven Foundation, where the sound of Chicago blues was captured and amplified; the grand interiors of Lyric Opera of Chicago, designed to enhance acoustics and audience experience; and The Salt Shed, where a historic industrial complex has been transformed into one of the city’s most distinctive contemporary music destinations.
Along the way, expert guides will share stories of the artists, architects and communities connected to each site, offering insight into their lasting influence on Chicago’s musical and architectural history.
