New York-based Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects I Partners (TWBTA) is considered a global leader in the design of institutional buildings—museums, schools and nonprofits. Their compelling body of work, characterized by a sense of rootedness, light, texture and exacting detail, includes the Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago, the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, the Asia Society Center in Hong Kong, and the LeFrak Center in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. TWBTA is one of seven finalists in the much sought-after commission to design the Barack Obama Presidential Center on Chicago’s South Side.
