CAC Live: Women of the 1893 World's Fair
Several women played significant roles in making the 1893 World’s Fair a spectacularly grand affair. CAC docent Kathleen Carpenter will introduce you to these remarkable women artists, activists and achievers on April 18 and May 6.

Program Speaker: Kathleen Carpenter
Kathleen Carpenter has been a docent since 2006. She has served as Director of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, Vice President of the Museum of Science and Industry and Executive Director of the Three Arts Club of Chicago. Born in Chicago, she is a graduate of Northwestern University. As a docent she conducts a variety of tours, including the river cruise, but her favorite topic is the 1893 World’s Fair.
