This lively panel discussion features local architects sharing the origin stories and unique physical traits of their firms’ studio spaces, with insight into how the buildings in which architects work may (or may not) inform their practices.
Panelists from DAAM Projects, Gensler and UrbanLab will present an array of studio styles and settings to help show the interplay between the design process and specific environments for creating. It’s a whole new way of appreciating the inner workings of the studio! Purpose-built live/workspaces, multifunctional flex spaces, adaptively reused structures and the marriage of modern, high-tech offices and historic architecture will all be considered in the context of the studio practice. Short slide presentations from Elyse Agnello (DAAM Projects), Martin Felsen (UrbanLab) and Lena Kitson (Gensler) will give way to moderated discussion with CAC Director of Exhibitions Eve Fineman.
