January 14—19, 2016.

The January 14—19, 2016 trip is now sold out, but join us for a second trip May 28—June 2, 2016.

Visiting Havana is like a journey back in time: weathered buildings, old classic cars and rich history stand out as top lures. Explore the city through the lens of the Chicago Architecture Foundation, and see one of the most architecturally diverse cities in the world. Havana is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with spectacularly rich influences such as art nouveau, art deco and eclectic design. The city's buildings mirror its social and political history, from Spanish colonial times to the more modern present day. A few highlights of our itinerary include:

  • Curator-led tours of the Museo Nacional de Belles Artes and the Museo de la Revolucion
  • Guided tour of the University of Havana with an architecture professor
  • Visit La Rampa area featuring the Hotel Habana Libre, the Radio Centro Building, and the Odontological Building
  • Discover the art deco elegance of the Miramar district.
