Take a special bus ride with the CAC on December 15 to Plano, Illinois, to see Mies van der Rohe’s iconic Farnsworth House decked out in 1950s holiday décor. Step back in time and imagine yourself as Dr. Farnsworth’s holiday guest 60 years ago.

This bus tour is part of the "Mod & Merry: A Farnsworth House Holiday" event series hosted by Farnsworth House.

Notes:
  • This tour does not include entrance to the Chicago Architecture Center. You're welcome to purchase a CAC Exhibit Voucher separately.
  • Ticket price includes lights snacks, white wine and soft drinks.
  • Although no formal tour will be given, a Farnsworth House docent will be on-hand in the space to answer any questions.
  • Discount tickets are available with a valid student ID for $78 at the CAC Box Office.
  • The tour duration includes a 1.5-2 hour ride to and from Farnsworth House, with the event taking place between 4 and 6pm. Return time will depend on traffic, but we plan to return to the CAC between 7:30pm and 8pm.
