Program

We'll explore architecture from a bird's eye view as we follow the journey of Speck the Pigeon, in a globe-hopping tour of the world's most iconic buildings. Alongside Speck, students ages 7-11 will become passionate architecture explorers through walking tours, hands-on making, geography and storytelling.
Camps are limited to 16 participants. Each camper will receive a copy of the book "Architecture According to Pigeons" by Stella Gurney to take home. Campers should wear comfortable clothes appropriate for doing arts and crafts and bring a lunch, water bottle and hat. All campers will go outside daily. Snacks and materials will be provided. Each camp will culminate with a showcase for family and friends the last 90 minutes of camp on the last day.
Camp runs from 9am to 3:30pm each day. All dates included:
Cancellations made more than five days in advance of the camp are eligible for a full refund. A limited number of partial and full scholarships are also available.
Aftercare (3:30—5:30pm) is available upon request for an additional $20. Please contact our Call Center at (312) 922.8687 to arrange aftercare for your child.
CAF Summer Camps invite campers ages 7-18 to explore the built environment as they learn first-hand why design matters. Camps inspire teamwork and creative problem-solving, build self-confidence and visual thinking and give participants the opportunity to communicate ideas using a variety of media.
