Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood is steeped in history, with a rich culture spanning nearly a century. The neighborhood is home to a notable collection of public murals worth stopping to take it all in.
Over the course of this bus tour, we’ll visit murals depicting a range of important topics, from the socioeconomic reforms of the Progressive Era to the Civil Rights and labor movements. This tour also spans decades of history, including a government funded WPA mural by John Warner Norton and some of the most famous murals of the 1970s by William Walker, John Pitman Weber and Mitchell Caton.
