In recent years, the central portion of the Chicago Riverwalk (between Lake Street and Michigan Avenue) has become one of the city’s most popular recreation paths. Now, the portions east of Michigan Avenue, known as Riverwalk East, are on their way to becoming just as beloved by residents and tourists alike. You’ll hear how this stretch of land gifted to the city in the 1970s has been enhanced over time to become an ecologically sensitive development.
