It’s the 150th birthday of Benjamin H. Marshall, one of Chicago’s most influential but lesser known architects. Celebrate his work as we discover his masterpieces.
Join us for a ride through the roaring 20's with the 'Great Gatsby' of Chicago Architecture, Benjamin H Marshall. We'll travel across the city to view buildings that many have seen but probably never appreciated as representing his design genius. That includes the South Shore Country Club, now the South Shore Cultural Center, and iconic Chicago hotels. His repertoire goes beyond to also include residential structures tucked away in the Gold Coast ... and we'll see those as well.
