Chief Financial Officer

Simone Edwards assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer at the Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) in 2023. Playing a pivotal part in strategic decision-making, Simone oversees and works to enhance the organization's financial management. Her impressive 29-year career encompasses financial accounting and business management, including executive-level oversight in areas such as information technology, human resources, financial controls, and accounting. She has held diverse roles, including CFO and VP of Operations, Director of Operations and Finance for a technology transfer office, and Corporate Controller for an international investment company.

Simone is deeply committed to servant leadership and mentorship. She actively contributes to her community by serving as an adjunct professor at Chicago City Colleges, teaching Computer Information Systems. Additionally, Simone holds the position of Board Treasurer at One Solution Global, serves as a board member at Family Focus Englewood, and actively participates in the Ingleside Block Club. She received her Bachelor's in Accounting with honors from DePaul University and holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from Northwestern University.
