South Shore: Creating a Bike-Friendly Community

Recently, Special Service Area (SSA) #42—along with the South Shore Chamber, Inc. and Alderman Leslie Hairston—sponsored a competition to have community members design a new bike rack for the retail corridor along 71st Street. The Chicago Architecture Foundation partnered on this project by drafting the design brief and creating the jury team. MORE >

Chatham’s American Dream Bus Tour

CAF is happy to announce that there is now a team of trained community docents in the South Side community of Chatham. The tour has been developed in partnership with the Chatham Business Association, Mather’s More than a Café, and the Chatham/Avalon Park Community Council.
